A meeting place for those who have toiled in the various Times-Reporter departments over the years and who'd like to stay in touch. Its owners over the last four decades include Horvitz Newspapers, Ingersoll Publications, Journal Register Co., Copley Press and Gatehouse Media.
I'll try 1994. I was gone, and Carl is back as a retiree.
ReplyDeleteHey Dick, my mom worked at the TR beginning in the old Daily Reporter downtown Dover back in the early 50's until she retired in the mid to late 80's. I grew up as a TR brat and got into advertising and marketing via Warren Fuerman and Daniels. I spent many hours at the TR and new many of the people...mostly old-timers. Mom was secretary to many of the General Managers...Jim Lonergan, Jack Shores, and some I can picture but can not think of their names. She was there when Harry Yockey was editor, I don't think you had him listed either. My brother also worked at the old Daily Reporter in composing. I remember many of the people who worked a stint at the old Reporter. I would like to be included in the feeds and will register thru my home computer. I remember the TR like a big family. My mom was Mary K Mizer and this is Sally. I might have some old pictures or things from way back. I'll check and let you know.
